(UPDATE) White House All Clear After Being on Lockdown Due to a Suspicious Package

On Tuesday, the White House was reportedly put on lockdown.
According to ABC news the North lawn was cleared following the discovery of a suspicious package. According to The Hill, Lafayette Square, across from the White House was also cleared.
The U.S. Capitol building was also briefly closed, due to a suspicious package but has been reopened. Capitol police have reportedly arrested a man for “unlawful entry” onto the premises.

UPDATE 2:30 p.m. ET — NBC’s Peter Alexander reports that the media has received the all clear at the White House.
