British Band Promotes New Album with Drudge Report Knockoff Site
Grammy-nominated British electronic band Hot Chip‘s sixth studio album comes out later this month, and what better way to promote it during the UK elections than to create a Drudge Report mirror site?
The promotional page for Why Make Sense?, due out May 18, is now a Drudge-like site with scrambled versions of the aggregator’s headlines (“Eeltcion on Kinef’s Egde; UK on Brnik”), blaring siren GIF images, and an audio stream of the album’s title track:

The hyperlinks don’t go to the actual stories aggregated on Drudge, but rather to a lyrics page for the song, with include seemingly timely references to being “at the mercy of your rulers”:
