Carly Fiorina: Jeb Bush ‘Dead Wrong’ on Immigration, Common Core

Former Hewlett-Packard CEO and likely GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina thinks former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush — a likely candidate himself — is too mushy on the issues conservatives care about.

“[Jeb Bush] is dead wrong on comprehensive immigration reform, he’s dead wrong on Common Core,” Fiorina said on the Laura Ingraham Show, as first clipped by The Daily Caller. “He’s dead wrong about government being too powerful — I think government is too powerful, I’m not sure he believes that.”

At one point, Fiorina also alluded to Bush as a “big government Republican.” She also stressed the importance of choosing a nominee who can beat Hillary Clinton, whom she believes is the inevitable Democratic nominee.

“Jeb Bush’s record suggests that he is a big government Republican,” Fiorina said, distinguishing herself from those who have been in politics all or most of their lives. The Republican Party should nominate a woman, according to Fiorina, because Clinton would not be able to invoke her gender or the “war on women.”
