CBS Basketball Announcer Greg Anthony Arrested in Prostitution Sting
CBS basketball announcer and former NBA player Greg Anthony was reportedly arrested Friday night in a Washington, D.C. prostitution sting.
Per the Associated Press, Anthony was arrested early Friday evening and released later that night on a misdemeanor solicitation charge. If convicted, he could spend up to six months in jail.
Originally drafted by the Knicks, Anthony played for five teams over an 11-year career. He worked for ESPN until 2008 and then moved over to CBS in an analyst role, eventually becoming an announcer last year.
Anthony was scheduled to be in the booth for the Michigan State-Maryland game today, though it’s not clear whether he’ll make it. Prostitution, meanwhile, will be fine.
