Check Out This Awesome Exchange Between Kentucky Basketball Coach John Calipari and a Kid Reporter

A young boy representing Sports Illustrated For Kids at a John Calipari press conference on Tuesday just might be the next Mike Wallace.

“Every season you have outstanding recruits,” the child said. “How does Malik Monk stack up against other freshmen that you’ve had?”

Calipari humorously tried to evade the question by naming several players and asking the boy if he thought those players were better than Monk.

“You think he’s better than John Wall?” Calipari asked.

“Maybe,” the boy said.

“Yeah! Tell John Wall that,” Calipari shot back.

After naming a few more players, Calipari was ready to move on. But the kid refused to let the coach off the hook. He restated the question, and forced Calipari to give an earnest answer.
