Cornel West Is Leaving Princeton University For New York City’s Union Theological Seminary

Dr. Cornel West — a veritable fixture on MSNBC — is leaving Princeton University to return to New York City’s Union Theological Seminary next summer, where he will teach philosophy and Christian practices.

According to West, his move back to Union, where he had formerly worked as an assistant professor in the late 70s, is based on the fact that “I don’t have that much time, and I want to be able to do precisely what I’m called to do.”

West will remain an emeritus professor at Princeton.
