Dana Perino Bashes NYT for Giving Space to ‘Traitor’ Snowden; Greenwald Fires Back
Edward Snowden recently published an op-ed in the pages of the New York Times, reflecting on the impact of the NSA leaks. Naturally, this prompted several people to accuse the Times of giving a platform to a traitor.
Like, say, Fox contributor Dana Perino:
The NYT oped page gives valuable space to a traitor. http://t.co/z3a4SCGGW5

There were a few others calling him a traitor, but Perino’s status as a former White House Press Secretary — George W. Bush’s former White House Press Secretary, to be exact — earned her some vitriol from Glenn Greenwald, the journalist who helped Snowden release the NSA files:
Says the woman notorious around the world for justifying torture, aggressive wars, due-process-free prison camps… https://t.co/lx88wsl0mq

You also might want to ask about your numerous colleagues long eager to give him airtime on Fox with an interview… https://t.co/lx88wsl0mq

Could you imagine knowing you'll have "Bush 43 White House" spokesperson in the first paragraph of your obituary? https://t.co/E6dX5GxGvb

Snowden currently resides in Moscow, and faces some rather severe espionage charges in the United States for the leaks.
