Ex-MSNBCer Joan Walsh Announces That She’ll Now Be Working For CNN

It has been a whirlwind past couple of days for progressive political analyst Joan Walsh.
The former Salon editor-in-chief and current Nation correspondent announced late last week that she had suddenly been let go by MSNBC as a paid contributor after working for the network for years. MSNBC’s decision to cut ties with the well-known progressive commentator not only led to widespread liberal outrage but also criticism from a number of MSNBC hosts.
On Saturday evening, Walsh took to Twitter to announce that she had been hired by CNN.
I am overwhelmed by the support I've received today from all of you. And I'm thrilled to tell you I'll be heading to @CNN in the new year. Thanks to everyone who made this happen. A Christmas miracle.

She also expressed gratitude for those who supported her in the wake of her MSNBC dismissal and offered up congratulations on her CNN hiring.
TFW you stay up until 3:30 a.m. trying to thank everyone who helped you today, and you have to pick it up in the morning. I have a lot to pay forward right now.

A CNN spokesperson has confirmed that Walsh will indeed be joining the network as a political commentator.
