Family Trolls Seahawks’ ‘Lousy Play Calling’ in Man’s Obituary
I think we can all agree that obituary trolling is the best trolling.
An obituary for rabid Seattle Seahawks fan Michael Sven Vedvik of Kent, Washington published in the Spokesman-Review Thursday ended with the line, “We blame the Seahawks lousy play call for Mike’s untimely demise.”
Vedvik did in fact pass away of a heart attack shortly after the Super Bowl last Sunday. However, the fan had not seen the game, instead recording it to watch it the next day.
The family felt their father would appreciate the joke, which sounded like a whole-family effort. “My husband would have thought it was hysterical,” Vedvik’s wife Stephanie said. “If I had read this obituary to my husband about somebody else, he would have had a laugh.”
She added that he would have called Seahawks coach Pete Carroll a “dumbass.”
Reports that what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil must give us pause went unconfirmed at press time.
