Foreclosed Water Park Owner Chains Leg to Top of Slide in Protest
The Liquid Planet Water Park in Candia, New Hampshire was recently foreclosed. Not that this really matters at the moment, as the park was already closed for the coming winter season. But that didn’t stop owner Kevin Dumont from chaining himself to one of the park’s water slide attractions in an act of protest.

According to WBZ, Dumont announced his plans on his Facebook page with a public post. He also published several photos of his impromptu campground, which sits atop one of the park’s water slides.
“I am not crazy but I have chained myself to the top of the waterpark slide tower,” said Dumont. “I am doing this in a last ditch effort to save all that I have created. The bank has foreclosed on me and is auctioning the property.”

He continued, writing that he was “not looking for a handout but rather a person, group of people or a company that would partner with me, pay off the bank and save yet another small business from failing.”

The posting has gained some attention on social media, and local news outlets across New England are reporting on Dumont’s protest. Boston ABC affiliate WCVB even had its news chopper circling the park on Tuesday afternoon, gather raw footage for the station’s evening newscast.
Interestingly, many of Dumont’s friends and followers weren’t sure if he was being serious or not. The first comment asked if this was a “joke.” The park owner’s response?
“It’s the truth.”
