Fox News Accidentally Reports UK Is Leaving the United Nations

Fox News’ chyron incorrectly reported early Friday morning that the United Kingdom had just voted to leave the United Nations, rather than the European Union.

The error occurred a little after 3:20 AM Eastern Time, when most of America was fast asleep. But it happened just as Britons were waking up to catch it.

There’s one silver lining.

Fox just reported that UK voted to leave the UN.

All told, the incorrect banner was only up for about three minutes before being fixed, but that amounts to an eternity in social media time.
