Funny or Die’s John Boehner Explains GOP Opposition to Minimum Wage

An incredibly over-tanned Harry Hamlin takes on the role of John Boehner in this new video from Funny or Die that makes the case for raising the minimum wage by listing off all the reasons Republicans are supposedly against it.

“A lot of people have coined my as enemy number one when it comes to raising the federal minimum wage so people can actually live off what they earn,” Boehner says. “The truth is people already make a lot more than their hourly wage.”

He goes on to falsely assume that fast-food workers can take advantage of things like bonuses and 401K plans that wealthier Americans take for granted.

“You think they bought it?” he asks “off-camera” at the end.
