George Conway Throws Down: Trump’s ‘Incompetence’ and ‘Pathological Narcissism’ Make ‘Governance Impossible’
George Conway — a frequent critic of President Donald Trump, as well as the husband of White House counselor Kellyanne Conway — absolutely unleashed on the commander-in-chief in what may be his most brutal tirade yet.
In tweets published Friday afternoon, Mr. Conway shredded Trump over his inability to forge an agreement to end the government shutdown.
“Trump is a master at alienating people he ought to be trying to, and should be able to, persuade,” George Conway wrote. “And that’s because he can’t make a coherent argument. He’s incompetent.”
Not weird at all. Trump is a master at alienating people he ought to be trying to, and should be able to, persuade. And that’s because he can’t make a coherent argument. He’s incompetent. https://t.co/6UVhozshzM

Then, he added, “That incompetence, along with his ingrained, pathological narcissism, leaves us with a president who does little more than spout nonsense and lies, and pander to those who feed his egotistic needs. And all of this makes rational governance impossible.”

Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin tweeted to Mr. Conway that a shorter version of his original message could simply read: Trump is “stupid.”
“Ok,” Mr. Conway said, “I’m verbose.”
