A Republican congressman has voiced some concern on Twitter about Donald Trump Jr.‘s meeting with a Russian lawyer, particularly after the email chain the President’s son released:
New emails from @DonaldJTrumpJr contradict a lot of prior story from yesterday and before. This is not the same thing.

I voted for @POTUS last Nov. & want him & USA to succeed, but that meeting, given that email chain just released, is a big no-no.
— Lee Zeldin (@leezeldin) July 11, 2017
Now, it was just yesterday that Zeldin tweeted the following:
Meeting w/ @DonaldJTrumpJr not Russian govt colluding w Trump campaign. Missing too many elements. This one appears to be big nothingburger
— Lee Zeldin (@leezeldin) July 10, 2017
The really harmful collusion here is between the people who want to tear us apart over the fact Donald Trump was elected @POTUS last Nov

Totally ok to disagree in our country…It's encouraged & can be very healthy to the process, but…

…this whole resist, persist, oppose, obstruct absolutely everything & anything is getting really, really old.
— Lee Zeldin (@leezeldin) July 10, 2017
Fortunately there are a lot of Americans who want to move forward working together to find common ground however possible.

Some people on Twitter remarked upon the specific critical phrase Zeldin chose to go with:
good news we've moved on from the "disappointed" stage to the "big no-no" realm https://t.co/YJ6Gw7nrJK

"Big no-no," Congressman? Try the grown up version: "immediate investigation." https://t.co/l1OpcNAGEW
— Shannon Coulter (@shannoncoulter) July 11, 2017
a big no-no is double dipping a chip at a party just use another chip https://t.co/DvkKzPIWGe

"Big no-no" seems rather tame, tbh https://t.co/eLJejnkuQ1

"A big no-no" — the kind of thing you say before never acting on it. https://t.co/QyLW3RbfmJ
