Greta Asks Fox To Have ‘Decency’ to Give Back Personal Photos They Deleted From Gretawire
Greta Van Susteren is asking her old network to give her back the photos and videos that existed exclusively on her old website.
The former anchor shook up the media sphere when she abruptly left Fox this week, stating that it “has not felt like home to me for a few years.” Van Susteren says she has taken measures to maintain control of her personal website after the departure, but apparently, that did not include saving the photographic material that was only kept on GretaWire.
“I am hoping Fox News will give me all my personal photos and video from my blog GretaWire that they took down without giving me any notice,” Van Susteren wrote on Facebook today. “I have many personal memories in my personally shot video and pictures from events that were not paid for by the Fox News Channel.”
According to Van Susteren, the content includes significant pieces from her journalistic work abroad, as well as personal photos of her family and friends. She states that no other copies exist for many of these photos, and that even if Fox is legally permitted to keep them, there is a principle of “fundamental decency” that demands they be returned.
