Gretchen Carlson Reacts to Bill Shine Joining White House: ‘Life…Works in Mysterious Ways’

Former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson reacted to the appointment of former Fox News executive Bill Shine to a top White House post.
On Thursday, the White House officially announced Shine — who was forced out at Fox due to his role in the mishandling of sexual misconduct claims — was appointed to the role of Assistant to the President and Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications.
As Carlson noted, the appointment comes two years after her own sexual harassment lawsuit.
“This …. on the 2 year anniversary eve of filing my harassment lawsuit; giving women a voice, letting them know you can be believed, launching a national movement to stand up and speak up and say enough is enough,” Carlson wrote, sharing the news of Shine’s new role. “Life … works in mysterious ways.”
Carlson left Fox News in 2016 after filing the harassment lawsuit against Shine ally Roger Ailes.
Fox News later settled with Carlson and issued an apology.
Shine left Fox News in 2017.
