‘Group Selfies’ Get an Official Name Nobody Asked For

The Associated Press declareth: a group selfie is now an “usie.” That’s pronounced “ussie,” though it’s not spelled like that, which is cool. An informal survey of Mediaite staff members has determined that “usie” sounds like an Australian sex position.

If the AP really wants to make itself useful, it can go dig up a name for sponsored advertising disguised as spontaneous selfies so that we can shame them out of existence.
