Harvey Weinstein Desperately Begged Hollywood Execs for Support Before He Was Fired
Hours before Harvey Weinstein was fired as the chairman of his own film studio, the embattled producer made a last-ditch effort to preserve his job over the weekend.
Weinstein sent out a letter to major Hollywood figures yesterday, asking them to support him as he continues to face multiple accusations of sexual harassment. As Weinstein looked for anyone who could back back him, he promised to seek therapy all while insisting that the allegations against him are false.

“My board is thinking of firing me. All I’m asking, is let me take a leave of absence and get into heavy therapy and counseling. Whether it be in a facility or somewhere else, allow me to resurrect myself with a second chance. A lot of the allegations are false as you know but given therapy and counseling as other people have done, I think I’d be able to get there. ”
Hollywood was rocked last week after the news came out that Weinstein is facing harassment lawsuits from multiple actresses and associates. The news was initially reported by the New York Times though other women have come out with new descriptions about their past interactions with Weinstein.
