If you’re a supporter of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, you’ll be happy to hear that Cruz has undoubtedly dropped the biggest hints yet that he will throw his hat in the ring.
Cruz appeared on The Glenn Beck Show Friday morning, where he was lauded with praise from Glenn Beck and his co-hosts, who told Cruz he consistently gets the highest accolades in polls among their listeners. With that said, they encouraged Cruz to make the announcement right then and there.
Unfortunately for them, Cruz only said, “stay tuned,” but what he said to Beck and his co-hosts definitely suggests such an announcement is imminent:
I will point out, I was in Iowa last weekend. Tomorrow morning, I’m flying to South Carolina. The next day, I’m going to New Hampshire. Those are not necessarily states chosen at random…. Iowa was beautiful. It ended up being unseasonably warm. I joke that if we were to launch a campaign, we could just make the campaign message be, you know, vote for Cruz, he’ll bring the sunshine. If only we could deliver on that, then they’d probably cancel the whole election.
All of this led Beck to say: “It sounds to me like you’ve made an announcement without making an announcement.”
