During her speaking engagement in India over the weekend, Hillary Clinton bashed Donald Trump‘s voters by calling them “backwards”-looking people who resent social progress and advancement in America.
The former presidential candidate offered a plethora of statements about her 2016 opponent, not the least of were was that America didn’t “deserve” a president like Trump, and white women mostly voted for him after being pressured by men. As she talked about which parts of the country voted for her and which ones didn’t, Clinton said that she won the most prosperous, forward-thinking areas of America, while Trump was popular in the…other parts of the nation.
“His whole campaign: ‘Make America Great Again’ was looking backwards,” said Clinton. “‘You didn’t like black people getting rights? You don’t like women, you know, getting jobs? You don’t want to, you know, see that Indian American succeeding more than you are? Whatever your problem is, I’m going to solve it.”
