Hobbit Director Peter Jackson Is Now Involved in the Search for MH370

Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies, is now personally involved in the search for the missing Malaysian Airlines MH370 plane. That’s right, Jackson’s personal private jet is being used to look for the B777, because apparently the number of sea and air vehicles being used in the hunt is not enough.

According to Radio New Zealand News, a spokesperson for the director confirmed that his Gulfstream G650 jet is being used to aid the search. This civilian jet can reportedly fly all the way from New Zealand to Alaska “without needing to refuel and can fly close to the speed of sound.”

Wait, what if this means little Hobbitses took the plane? CNN, get on that.
