Horse Washed in Public Pool Ruins Summer for Everyone
We’re already a fourth of the way through August, but there’s still plenty of time left to enjoy the summer! That means grabbing a towel and bathing suit, dousing yourself in sunscreen, and heading to the pub — wait, is that a horse?
According to the Hull Daily Mail, the Hull City Council temporarily closed a popular public pool in Bransholme. The reason? Oh nothing much, aside from the fact that two people were washing a horse in the pool’s waters.

Trying to go for a swim in an already chlorine-filled pool is made just a tad more complicated when swimmers must contend with a live animal. And not just any animal, but a formerly dirty horse whose shit-ridden hooves and dirty hide are now minty fresh. The pool, however, was the opposite of all these nice things.
“The kids are not going to be able to use it for a while,” councilor Danny Brown told the paper. “It just shows that those people don’t give a thought about anybody else.”
