Hundreds Line Streets in DuPont Circle For Free Inauguration Day Marijuana Giveaway

There is an Inauguration day pot protest happening in DuPont Circle — at which some 8,000 joints are expected to be given away.

Several journalists are on the scene, where hundreds of people are already lining the streets.

According to CBS Washington, the pro-pot group DCMJ began handing out joints at 8:00 a.m. Friday.

Our sister site LawNewz posted about the legality of the giveaway. Smoking it in the street — which the protestors plan to do four minutes and 20 seconds into Donald Trump‘s Inaugural address — is illegal. But D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser says arrests “wouldn’t be our first priority.”
