Why are hundreds of people in line at DuPont Circle? “Free weed!” “Marijuana for all!” Whole block smells like, well, people smoking weed. pic.twitter.com/njGX7qSORm

According to CBS Washington, the pro-pot group DCMJ began handing out joints at 8:00 a.m. Friday.
Our sister site LawNewz posted about the legality of the giveaway. Smoking it in the street — which the protestors plan to do four minutes and 20 seconds into Donald Trump‘s Inaugural address — is illegal. But D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser says arrests “wouldn’t be our first priority.”
