In Memos on Trump Interactions, Comey Writes About the ‘Golden Showers Thing’

Minutes before his live interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, memos that former FBI Director James Comey wrote about his interactions with President Donald Trump were obtained by media outlets. And at least on the surface, they appear to back up Comey’s description of what he has said in the past was contained in them.

The memos, which were sent by the Justice Department to Congress earlier on Thursday, provided details on a January 2017 dinner Comey had with Trump in which the then-FBI chief claims the president wanted a pledge of loyalty. Comey also wrote about Trump’s concern over the “Golden Showers” thing, referencing allegations in the Steele dossier that the Kremlin had kompromat on Trump (i.e. the pee tape).

Fox News’ Chad Pergram provided summaries of the memos that were made public, as seen in the tweets below:

The redacted memos can be read in their entirety here.
