Introducing The Bing Search Box or Hey, What’s Up With That Thing Down There?

In case you haven’t yet noticed, you now have to scroll an extra three inches to get to the comments section on our posts. Yes, this does mean that it will take you 0.09 seconds longer to be able to tell your fellow Mediaite readers why they’re wrong but, don’t worry, there is a good reason for this! In that space we have now included the Bing Search Box, a tool designed to help open the world of the internet, enabling you to find better proof as to exactly why those readers are wrong. Progress!

Here’s how it works, you’re reading an article about, say, Jimmy McMillan’s upcoming album (because how else would you be spending your time?). The box will sense what the topic of the post is (Jimmy McMillan) and automatically show you the top results from around the web for that term as well as enabling you to link right to the Bing search for it. You can also type whatever term you want into the box and search for that. You’ve now just gained back those 0.09 seconds…and then some!

So enjoy the new Bing Search Box. You can use it right now! There it is, just scroll a little. Of course, it will probably be searching for the word “Bing” on this post which will be weird and meta, but flip around, see how you like it. I bet you’ll like it! And, if you don’t, just use the Bing Search Box to search for proof as to why I’m wrong. Now that’s useful!
