‘It’s Mean Girls’: Morning Mika Analyzes Reince-Scaramucci War

On Thursday the cast at Morning Joe did their best to parse through the palace intrigue currently consuming the Trump White House.

The latest drama in what looks disturbingly like a reality TV show concerns the war between Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and newly installed Communications Chief, Anthony Scaramucci.

With Joe absent, Morning Mika led the discussion.

“[Priebus] is one of the least powerful chief’s of staff we’ve ever seen.” said show regular Mark Halperin,”People like Steve Bannon and Anthony Scaramucci are stepping in to say we want more power and influence in the White House … If Reince Priebus goes the question of who provides any structure becomes a big one.”

Mika Brzezinski questioned whether the internal (yet very public) sniping rose to the level of defamation.

“It’s like Game of Thrones but with more viciousness,” said Halperin

That’s right MORE viciousness.

“The people he’s criticizing in his press office are mostly Reince people,” observed New York Times reporter Nicholas Confessore.

“You need an element of trust,” said Council on Foreign Relations chief and occasional beard aficionado Richard Haass.

“Its like Mean Girls.” said Brzezinski, capping off the analysis.

Mean Girls? Maybe so. For the full explainer, however, you need to head over to CNN where Scaramucci went on at length about his war on leakers and Reince to New Day and Chris Cuomo.
