Jamie Horowitz Out at NBC News After Two Months

Today Show general manager Jamie Horowitz has parted ways with NBC News after only two months at the network. Horowitz left ESPN earlier this year and moved into his new job in September.

In an internal memo today, NBC News President Deborah Turness explained that Horowitz is “a talented producer and executive, but, together, he and I have come to the conclusion that this is not the right fit.”

Back in May, when Turness announced that Horowitz would be joining up, she said of him, “Jamie has the skills, the talent and the experience to lead the Today brand into the future… the perfect person for this crucial role — he is a visionary leader, a creative thinker and a seasoned expert in developing and driving brands that truly connect.”

Horowitz had worked for NBC Sports from 1998 to 2006, before joining up with ESPN.
