Jeffrey Tambor Revealed Arrested Development Season Five Will Start Filming in January
More than almost any other television show, Arrested Development toys with us. Ever since the show ended in 2006 and picked up a second life on the Internet, fans have been asking one question: Her? Actually, it’s two questions. We’re also always asking when there will be more. For years there were rumors of a season four, or possibly a movie, and finally in 2013, our wish was granted when we got 15 new episodes. It’s never enough, though. Since then, everyone only wants a season five.
Jeffrey Tambor appeared on Today this week. After winning an Emmy award Sunday night for Transparent, you would think there isn’t much to discuss other than his win and the show. Not so. Al Roker wanted to know whether George/Oscar Bluth Sr. would be returning to Netflix anytime soon.
“There’s always chatter. My marching orders are to go to work in January,” he answered. Did he mean to reveal that? It’s the first we’re hearing that a production schedule is in place.
That means it’s time to start binge-watching from the beginning (for the 10th time). You know, in preparation.
