John McCain Is Returning to Parks & Recreation

Senator John McCain will be appearing in the final season of the hit NBC show Parks & Recreation, reprising his season-five cameo in a coat closet with Amy Poehler.

E! Online confirmed McCain’s return today. The seventh and final season of Parks & Rec (premiering tonight) takes place in the near-future of 2017 (when the next president is sworn in; who do you imagine the writers went with?), and the show’s dabbled in the political before.

Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Newt Gingrich, and several other U.S. senators have all cameoed on Parks & Rec, so aside from McCain, expect some surprises…
