Journalists Apparently Weren’t Allowed to Ask Kendall Jenner About her Pepsi Ad at Coachella

Like pretty much every other celebrity, Kendall Jenner attended Coachella this past weekend. And, as a member of the Kardashian crew, wherever she goes, the media follows. But, at this year’s festival, there was a catch. According to a report from TMZ, journalists were forbidden from asking Jenner about her cringeworthy and controversial Pepsi commercial. All questions had to be submitted in advance, and nobody could ask, or indirectly ask about the ad.
If they didn’t follow the rules, they would be immediately removed from the interview and, according to TMZ, the outlet would “forever be persona non grata.”
After the failed ad, Jenner was initially pretty quiet on social media. She returned to promote Harper’s Bazaar‘s 150th anniversary issue (she’s on the cover) and to promote a party for Bumble that she hosted while she was at Coachella. She also posted a photo on Instagram from the festival. So far, she hasn’t mentioned the ad.
