Kathy Griffin Brutally Slams Melania Trump for Child Separation Statement: ‘F— You, Melanie’
Comedienne Kathy Griffin had some brutal words for First Lady Melania Trump on Sunday, lashing out at FLOTUS after she issued a statement on the policy of separating children from their families at our nation’s borders.
Earlier today, the First Lady’s spox Stephanie Grisham told CNN’s Kate Bennett that Mrs. Trump “hates to see children separated from their families.”
Griffin had a harsh response.
“F– you, Melanie,” Griffin wrote, without censoring her swear. “You know damn well your husband can end this immediately…you feckless complicit piece of sh-t.”
Melanie is a reference to a recent Trump tweet where POTUS misspelled the name of his wife.
The issue she was talking about, though, is one that is once again causing strong reactions, and in some cases profanity, from both sides of the political divide.
On Saturday, John Legend called out Rep. Paul Ryan on the child separation policy after he posted a tweet about being a dad.
“Seriously, f– you. Reunite the families at the border and we can talk about Father’s Day,” Legend wrote.
Lawmakers also weighed in on the policy on Sunday, holding a presser outside of a Texas immigration facility where they called the idea of separating children from their families “un-American.”
Attorney General Jeff Sessions, however, has defended the policy, citing the Christian Scriptures to back up his claims.
