Kevin Bacon’s Campaign for More Male Nudity in Hollywood Screams America

Actor and Guardians of the Galaxy legend Kevin Bacon has set his sights on a troubling issue that has long plagued the annals of Hollywood — the severe lack of male nudity.

In a jokey-yet-serious public service announcement, Bacon decries the “gratuitous female nudity” on display in “so many films in TV shows” today. He initially says it’s “not okay,” but immediately amends his statement:

“Well it’s okay, but it’s not fair to actresses and it’s not fair to actors. We want to be naked, too. Gentleman, it’s time to free your bacon.”

He goes on to criticize Game of Thrones for having “three sex scenes an episode” and offers to “play a naked wizard, or something.”

#FreeTheBacon is the pseudo-campaign’s hashtag of choice, and it’s already gaining traction on Twitter. However, be forewarned that you probably shouldn’t take a gander at the photo selection. Check out the clip below, courtesy of Mashable:
