Looks Like Someone Hacked This GOP Congressman’s Twitter Account

 


Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) really wants you to try this new “amazing fruit” diet that helped him lose seven pounds. Or, more likely, his Twitter account has been hacked by a nefarious spammer. On Wednesday afternoon, a series of tweets appeared on the congressman’s timeline, all promoting the same mysterious miracle product and linking to some racy before and after photos on his Pinterest page.

It appears his discovered the problem fairly quickly and started deleting the tweets in question, but here’s what they looked like:

Clicking on the most recent one took users to this image on Pinterest, though, sadly, no information about this fruit that can help people lose weight so effortlessly:

As of 5:43 p.m. ET, the tweets were still coming with his social media team doing their best to take them down. Here’s one that claims he’s lost 10 pounds on the diet that (as of now) is still live on his feed:

It appears that the origin of the problem exists on Rohrabacher’s Pinterest account, which is linked to update his Twitter when he posted something there. Isn’t social media fun?
