Man Pretty Sure He Found the Loch Ness Monster in Apple Maps
One of the more obnoxious aspects of technology is the way it forces you to do things all over again: think how many times you’ve had to re-purchase your record/tape/CD/mp3 collection. So, as cameras and then camcorders came into existence, we had to find first photos and then grainy footage of the Loch Ness Monster.
Today’s round of technologically-enabled monster spotting? Smart phones!
Loch Ness hunters claim to have spied the aquatic hide-and-seeker on Apple’s iOS Maps. How do they know it’s the Loch Ness monster? Well, what else could this be:

“Whatever it is, it’s just below the surface and heading south so unless there have been secret submarine trials going on in the loch, the size of the object would make it likely to be Nessie,” said Andy Dixon, the man who screencapped the creature. Makes sense in that melting-point-of-steel sort of way.
