Mark Levin Suggests Sharpton And Jackson ‘Hate’ Zimmerman Because ‘They Thought He Was Jewish’
On his show Monday night, radio host Mark Levin asserted his belief that Revs. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson initially rallied against the recently-acquitted George Zimmerman because they believed him to be a Jewish male.
“I think Sharpton and Jackson, I think they thought he was a Jewish guy,” Levin told his audience. “He looks white or olive-skinned and his last name is Zimmerman. A lot of people make the mistake that that last name is ipso facto Jewish.”
Continuing his theory, Levin explained: “I think they thought he was a white Jewish guy. I think that’s why they went down to Florida.”
For those who have their doubts about Levin’s assertions, he preemptively responded, “Oh, I’ve got a lot of reason to believe this, given their background, their conduct, and their statements; as all New Yorkers know full well.” Levin is likely referring to Sharpton’s controversial remarks during the 1991 Crown Heights riots about local Orthodox Jews; and to Jackson’s off-the-record labeling of New York City as “Hymietown” in the early 1980s.
