screen-shot-2017-01-11-at-4-05-03-pmIt was long overdue but yes, we have a new newsletter, so please sign up here.

We hope those in the know have loved our newsletter ever since we totally revamped and overhauled it this fall and we’ve continued to work on making your daily email from Mediaite the best it can be.

Social media manager Benjamin Fearnow explains, “Basically, the focus is the Winner/Loser format at the top, then a 3-4 paragraph run-down of the top stories in a given 24-hour period.”

Here’s how that looks:

That’s right: we’ll be telling you the biggest winner and biggest loser in media every day. From Tucker Carlson‘s win when he took over the 9:00 time slot on Fox News to Yahoo Finance‘s loss when they forgot to proofread a tweet, we make the call based on a day’s worth of media observation from our whole staff.

Fearnow also said, “The newsletter lets our readers take a step back to digest the daily cascade of storylines dominating the news cycle. The ‘Story Round-Up’ and ‘Links We Like’ aim to give clarity to an otherwise clustered and intertwining helix of headlines.” FYI Helix is a vastly underappreciated word.

The Story Round-Up looks like this:

“Our editors are monitoring almost every channel and news platform 24 hours a day, and can tell you when a major media player makes a huge blunder before most have even heard or seen it. ” Jon Nicosia, Managing Editor of Mediaite.com said, “And with our new newsletter format, you’ll know right away which media leaders made it and which ones got made, each day.

After you learn who won and who lost for the day, you can scroll down for a three- to four-paragraph synopsis of what’s been trending on the site. Yesterday, it was all about Meryl Streep bashing Donald Trump at the Golden Globes and how the media was reacting. Today, it’s looking like all of the focus is on Trump and his battle with CNN’s Jim Acosta.

After all, who doesn’t love seeing the anointed winners, and often more interesting, losers of the day. Sign up here.
