Melania Spox Fires Back at ‘Liberal Media’ Over Report She Didn’t Want to Be First Lady

A new report about Melania Trump quotes a friend claiming she never wanted to be First Lady, but in a blistering new statement, FLOTUS denied that is the case.

This is one of the quotes in question from the Vanity Fair report:

There may never have been a First Lady less prepared for or suited to the role. “This isn’t something she wanted and it isn’t something he ever thought he’d win,” one longtime friend of the Trumps’ told me. “She didn’t want this come hell or high water. I don’t think she thought it was going to happen.”

A spokesperson for the First Lady provided a statement to CNN knocking the “liberal media” and saying, “She is honored by her role.”
