New York Post Subdued Yet Sarcastic In Classic Weiner Front Page

 

In tabloid newspapers, they call those big, huge headlines “the wood,” but we’ll avoid that for right now. The New York Post was oddly subdued yet perfectly clever in today’s front page headline on the resignation of Rep. Anthony Weiner: WEINER’S RISE AND FALL. The sub-headline, in case you need more puns: “sexting ‘member’ quits Congress.” And there you have it.

The rival New York Daily News underperformed with STICK A FORK IN WEINER. We also like the Spanish-language New York tab, El Diario, which went with POR CULPA DE UN PAJARITO, or BECAUSE OF A BIRD.
