New York Times Editor on Hillary Stonewalling the Press: ‘Who Cares?’
New York Times editorial editor Andrew Rosenthal said earlier this week that he didn’t see why it was a big deal that Hillary Clinton was stonewalling the press, asking “sincerely, who cares?”
“This is going to sound rather strange coming from a journalist,” Rosenthal said on a Times podcast. “but[Clinton’s] also ignoring the press which I don’t think is such a terrible idea.”
“I don’t think her not talking to the press is an issue,” he continued. “Sincerely, who cares?”
Rosenthal’s take on the Republicans was not nearly so positive. “Everything Ben Nelson says is ridiculous,” he said, in was likely intended as an attack on presidential candidate Ben Carson.
