North Korea Calls U.S. Attitude to Latest Talks ‘Regrettable’

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was in North Korea for talks over the past few days, but now North Korea has reportedly put out a statement criticizing the U.S.

According to The Washington Post, Pompeo left Saturday without meeting with Kim Jong Un, but he called the talks productive. North Korea, however, had a very different response:

His rosy outlook was almost immediately rejected by North Korea’s foreign ministry, which called the U.S. attitude to the talks “regrettable” and accused the United States of making unilateral demands for denuclearization. Pompeo just hours earlier said the two sides engaged in “good-faith negotiations.”
