President Obama has fielded some criticism for dodging press conferences and traditional news outlets for interviews on The View and Entertainment Tonight. And now, to add fuel to the fire, the president will be answering questions from US Weekly readers for next week’s issue on a range of topics from policy to family life.
The magazine made the announcement online, offering readers the chance to ask Obama whatever questions they have.
As Obama, 51, campaigns for re-election in a race with Republican nominee Mitt Romney, the Commander-in-Chief will answer questions from Us Weekly’s readers — about his platform, his opponent, life at home in the White House with Michelle, Sasha, Malia and Bo, touring America on the campaign trail, his favorite celebs (Beyonce and Jay-Z, perhaps?) and more!
Obama’s answers will be appearing in next week’s issue of the magazine. Us adds that Mitt Romney was approached to do a similar Q&A, but declined the opportunity.
The White House press corps might be grumbling about this one, but as long as they send their questions to email@example.com, they at least have some chance of getting their questions answered.
