Omarosa Reportedly Thought to Have Taped Secret White House Conversations, is Lawyering Up

Was Omarosa tape recording secret White House chats during her tumultuous 11 months in the West Wing? That’s the thought from a source in one new report.

According to the New York Daily News, Omarosa Manigault-Newman was thought to have been actively taping White House conversations. An unnamed source told the paper believes that Omarosa might have compiled files on other staffers.

“Everyone knows Omarosa loves to record people and meetings using the voice notes app on her iPhone,” the News source said. “Don’t be surprised if she has secret audio files on everyone in that White House, past and present staffers included.”

And now, according to the News, Omarosa is worried that her penchant for taping could put her at the center of special counsel Robert Mueller‘s probe. The paper reports that she is “very concerned” about the legal implications of her actions — so much so that she is in the process of lawyering up. The News reports that she has met with Lisa Bloom, among others, as part of her search for counsel.
