‘Party Whore’: The Wire Creator David Simon Unloads on GOP’s SCOTUS ‘Sh*tbaggery’
David Simon, celebrated auteur of The Wire and other acclaimed HBO series, let loose on Senator Orrin Hatch in a passionate, fiery rant about Republican obstructionism on President Obama‘s Supreme Court nominee.
Merrick Garland has been voted on by the Senate before, and Hatch in particular has praised him in the past, but he is taking the Republican hardline position that he wants to wait for the next president so the American people have a “voice.”
In came Simon:
I used my voice when I voted. Not a three-year president. Four. Here's that voice again: YOU FUCKING PARTISAN HACK. https://t.co/gKSKDjkftE

After President Obama won reelection in 2012, he told conservatives to evolve and said, “Change is a motherfucker when you run from it. And right now, the conservative movement in America is fleeing from dramatic change that is certain and immutable.”
