Police Officer Reportedly Shot in Ferguson

According to CNN, a police officer was shot Saturday evening in Ferguson, Missouri.

The word came via St. Louis County Police spokesman Brian Schellman, who also relayed that the officer is alive.

Circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently unknown, but the city has been under intense pressure since Officer Darren Wilson shot and killed unarmed 18-year-old black man Michael Brown in August. Protests immediately ensued, with tensions eventually calming after several weeks, only to reignite when the city’s police chief made an appearance at a demonstration.

This is a developing story…
