Poor Phrasing: Ann Romney Suggests We ‘Unzip’ Her Husband To Prove He’s Not ‘Too Stiff’

It’s been a big, long morning for Ann Romney. Politico just posted a well-sized profile of the candidate’s wife entitled “Ann Romney is the Romney Democrats fear most” all about how her recent insertion into the race “could amount to the most relevant role a wife has ever played in a presidential effort — softening the edges of a flawed and awkward candidate.” Speaking of softening, Romney has also now given us perhaps the funniest quote of this entire campaign. Why is it the funniest quote? Because it’s about how “stiff” her husband is and because we’re all 12 years old.

Here’s a tweet from Emily Friedman, an embedded ABC reporter following the Romneys. It’s a quote from an event in Wisconsin:

Ah, so apparently Mitt isn’t as stiff as we think he is. Don’t worry, big guy. It happens to lots of presidential candidates.

…yep, we’re definitely 12 years old.
