‘Probably’: Kasich Confronted Over Whether People Are Born Gay
John Kasich was confronted in California yesterday by someone asking him, “Do you feel people are born gay?”
Kasich dismissively said he didn’t want to get into “analysis of this or that,” but the man shot back, “It’s not analysis, are people born gay?”
The woman on stage tried to move on to the next question, but Kasich actually answered, saying, “Probably. I don’t––I don’t know how it all works, okay? I mean, look––are they? In all probability they are.”
They proceeded to get into a back-and-forth about equal rights for gay Americans, with Kasich insisting that he doesn’t support discrimination or is denying anyone of their rights.
At one point, he said, “I don’t agree with gay marriage, but I’ve been to a gay wedding!”
