Protesters Greet Cecil-Killing Dentist Upon His Return to Work
On Tuesday, Walter Palmer returned to work for the first time since his his killing of Cecil the Lion earlier this summer.
Palmer, a dentist who operates a clinic in the Bloomington area of Minneapolis, Minnesota, told reporters for the Associated Press and the Minneapolis Star Tribune earlier that his staff and his patients needed him. So when he returned around 7 a.m. on Tuesday morning, protesters and members of the media were there to greet him. Several staff members were already waiting to help guide Palmer to the office door through the massive groups:

Palmer didn’t say a word to anyone present as he entered the building:

Yet the most fascinating photo from the facade wasn’t of Palmer. Rather, it was of a protester reading from what appears to be a massive document:

Needless to say, I have questions about this photo. Deep, philosophical questions like “What is this woman reading?” and “If her college professor at night school wasn’t interested, then why the hell would Palmer want to hear about the animal ethics of James Patterson’s Zoo?”
