Rep. West: I Will 'Pray About It' And 'Step Up' If Chosen As VP Candidate
While much of the mainstream media concentrates on the potential for Sen. Marco Rubio or Tim Pawlenty to be chosen to play second fiddle to Mitt Romney this fall, Rep. Allen West is fielding his own wing of speculation as to whether putting a military man on the ticket could help beef up the Republican offering. And if duty calls, Rep. West said this week, he will be there.

Rep. West noted when asked that he is not in charge of the decision of who runs with Romney, but he has a thought process together for what he would do if asked to run. “The first thing I have to do is to pray about it to God to make sure that he ordains that and make sure it’s not just about man,” he noted, adding that “if someone believes that I can work at a capacity at another level… I’ll pray about it.” He went on to answer questions about the threat of “Islamic totalitarianism” and “stealth Jihad.”
