Report: New Travel Ban Executive Order Expected to be Signed on Monday

Weeks after his first executive order restricting immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries and temporarily halting refugees from entering the country was frozen by the courts, it is being reported that a new travel ban executive order will be signed by President Donald Trump on Monday.
Initially, it was hinted by the White House that the new EO would be out at the beginning of this week. However, following Trump’s well-received speech, it was stated that the executive order would be delayed so that the president’s address could breathe a bit.
However, with no executive order out by Thursday, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow reported that the delay could be due more to an intelligence report by the Department of Homeland Security that took away the national security justification of the ban.
According to Politico, DHS employees have been instructed to work from home on Monday morning.
