Rick Perry Challenges Donald Trump to Pull-Up Contest

It’s come to this: Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry responded to unending criticism from Donald Trump by challenging him to a pull-up contest.

After a major economic speech at the Yale Club, Perry was asked by Daily Mail reporter David Martosko about Trump’s comments that the former Texas governor isn’t energetic or tough enough to be in the Republican primary debates.

Perry shot back with the amusing proposition:

Martosko wrote later that the crowd “roared” at Perry’s challenge.
